Q: Don’t I already support you with my OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting) membership?

A: Unlike shows like Fresh Air (supported by WHYY) and This American Life (supported by WBEZ), Live Wire is not produced by OPB — we are an independent radio show. Our business model is entirely different. We rely on a diverse funding stream, including individuals.

Q: Don’t I already support you by buying tickets to the live shows?

A: First of all, thanks for coming to our live shows! We can’t wait to get back to the beautiful Alberta Rose. But to answer your question, ticket sales fund less than 10% of our budget. The rest we hustle for!
